Our Story
The Manor
The Manor stands as a testament to time amidst the lush greenery of Karura Forest. Through the ages, our cherished old clock, fashioned from brass of yore, has faithfully marked the passage of days within these hallowed walls.
From the Forest's Embrace
Back in the 1920s, when Muthaiga was a verdant paradise, The Manor emerged from the forest's embrace. The clock, a sentinel of time, was one of the first whispers of life in this grand estate.
As the years unfurled, owners came and went, leaving behind echoes of history and the enduring presence of the clock. In the post-independence era of the 1960s, The Manor stood in quiet remembrance — a vestige of colonial times fading into memory.
The Manor Breathes Anew
Today, The Manor breathes anew. The once-sorrowful estate now teems with life. Children frolic in gardens restored to their former glory, adorned with trees mirroring Karura's splendour. Weddings and celebrations grace our halls, where laughter mingles with the songs of birds and the rustle of leaves.
Our rooms bear names inspired by the majesty of nature, paying homage to Kenya's protected forests — every name telling a story of reverence for our surroundings.
